Impressive! There's not much remaining of this ancient pier uncovered beneath a raised home in New Orleans. The mortar has suffered extensive deterioration, causing the bricks to crumble away, leaving almost nothing of the original structure intact. Attempting to tuck point this pier would be a futile endeavor, as the damage is so severe that a complete reconstruction is the only viable solution.
